This is my book review on "Roll Of Thunder Hear My Cry":
I thought the book was a little boring because it did not have enough action for me. I also thought it was a little hard to read because of the incorrect (for today's time) grammar. I think the book is meaningful because it tells about the injustice that was how black people were treated. Some examples are having to treat white people like they are the highest and mightiest people alive, not getting the educational materials they need, and being able to be hit and treated like dirt. The book also tells about what white people did to black people just because they could. They did things that today would land them a life sentence in prison sometimes, or at least for a very long time. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate this book an 8. I liked it, but it could not hold my attention for a long time like some books can.
